Dometic BayStar Pivot Plates
The Dometic BayStar Pivot Plates are designed to provide proper cylinder-to-engine alignment when installing BayStar hydraulic steering systems. These pivot plates are required when an engine configuration calls for a cylinder setup other than the standard HC4645-3 or HC4658-3 models.
The HC4645-3 compact cylinder is included with most BayStar steering kits and can be converted to the HC4658-3 configuration by following the included instructions. However, certain outboard engines require alternative mounting geometry. In these cases, the appropriate replacement pivot plate must be selected to ensure correct fitment, steering geometry, and safe operation.
Each pivot plate is sold separately and is engineered to meet Dometic’s marine performance and durability standards.
