These vessels are equipped with the Hypro Marine 24 Volt DC Electronic Command System, offering state-of-the-art electronic steering solutions tailored for performance, precision and ease of installation. Each system features a custom-engineered Steering Cylinder, designed specifically for the vessel it supports. Our ECS Systems utilise an electronic helm unit connected to an electronic power unit via a single pre-made wiring harness with “Deutsch” multi-pin connectors.
This forward-thinking design eliminates the need for hydraulic hoses and oil running throughout the boat, therefore simplifying installation and reducing potential maintenance issues. Additionally, within the system, there is a Hydraulic 24 Volt DC Hydraulic Power Unit that can be installed close to the Hydraulic Steering Cylinder and hence the Hydraulic Hose lengths can be kept very short.
Furthermore, Hypro Marine ECS systems offer a 4-turn lock-to-lock steering with a 1-second per revolution response rate, ensuring precise control. The system also includes a positive stop at the hardover position to prevent oversteering.
The ECS system is designed to support up to two helm stations. These types of systems are ideal for boats ranging from 40 feet to over 100 feet in length – that have 24 Volts DC supply available.
